i’m in the toni & guy styling academy–showed my OZON TI to my instructor, he didn’t want to waste his time because he was dead set on his ‘CHI’. He basically rolled his eyes, like chi was the only real iron. But by the end of the day he had saw me using it, and snatched it and took a closer look then stuck out his bottom lip, raised his eyebrows and nodded as if it got his general approval. whatever…. I know this thing works better and for way cheaper. Im proud to use it in class, and will recommend it to all the students I know. – Amie

When my ghd broke I vowed never to spend over $200 for a hair product again. I saw the reviews and buzz about titanium and found that ozon seemed to have the best titanium iron and I bought it, and its about the same quality as my ghd. Lets hope it doesn’t brake within 4 months like ghd, but even if it did, its still less than half the price. But according to the warranty I should be able to get a replacement if something happens, which is a plus.

I tried my friend’s ozone iron. I never had straigt hair. it gets hot within a minute and it stays hot. for picture day at school i woke up late and only had 10 mintes to do my hair! this only took me 7 minutes for straight hair all day long. even through rain snow or humidity!

This is absolutely the best flat iron I’ve ever tried. My friend let me try hers and it made me want one, so I splurged, but it was worth it! I wish it was a little less than than $100, but it is well worth it, because of the results you get, and the thing is very high quality and not flimsy. it works perfectly to smooth out my curly hair. price is ok but well worth it. chi didn’t have variable heat setting, this does, so if it gets too hot TURN IT DOWN, if its not hot enough, TURN IT UP. 450 is only for thick frizy hair like mine. when i use the thermal treatment it smooths with perfection, and looks shiny and no static. you want this product. use common sense.

My mom gave me this ozon hair straightener after asking for a CHI, and was pretty disappointed.. until I used it. Whats all the hype about chi about? This thing works great. And titanium is smoother than ceramic. Not to mention it can adjust to a lower temperature for my thinner hair.. the chi can’t.

My hair looks MORE healthy with this one. I had a cheap Revlon straightener before and it just made it look like it was about to fall out. This actually makes it look better than when I start. The liquid product that came with it probably has a lot to do with that.

I have pretty straight hair but it does get frizzy especially in humidity. This solves that, as well as allows me to style it with waves and large curls. Its extremely versatile.

Everyone says their hair is frizzy, but mine makes me look like I was struk by lightning. Something about this thing de-frizzes my hair fo real. Very impressive.

I use it to make large spiral curls, and it works great because it gets so freakin hottt. It is much faster than any iron I’ve used. If you hold it in one place too long it could probably do damage, thast how hot it gets!

This is the best flat iron I’ve ever used. It smooths your hair out pin straight and without even using hair product, it takes out frizz and makes it shiny. With product, it does even better. I have long, course, curly hair which is hard to straighten. I have a Chi which just broke and there is no comparison. I LOVE THE OZON! This is the best flat iron I have ever used. I just received my ozon hair straightener and am very satisfied with it. It leaves my hair silky smooth and the high temp really helps that. I don’t have to go over every strand a hundred times to get it straight – just once is enough.

I was using a tourmaline iron which I liked, however, not even a year old and one of the plates cracked. Found your sight. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try due to the price. To replace the tourmaline I was using would have been almost $200. Was also interested in the cherry bomb product. I have to say WOW !! The iron is great, light weight and easy to use. The cherry bomb product is the best I’ve ever used. Never have I found a product that works so well. Together they are a grand slam. I am hooked and would recommend both to anyone. A definate must have if you want straight hair.

I just rec’d my ozone flat iron a week ago and I can’t believe the amazing results on my hair! I have thick, coarse, naturally curly/wavy shoulder length hair and usually I’d have to use my old flat iron over & over throughout the day to keep my hair from frizzing throughout the day but with the ozone, I can use it in the morning and I don’t need any touch-ups throughhout the day! I got one of the Ozone titanium flat irons this past summer and it is still as good as it was when I first tried it. It is the only flat iron i use in my salon on my clients. Now I need one for at home to maintain my own curly hair as I am getting tired of going to the salon before i start work to straighten my hair.

Best product i have ever used

I’ve tried flat irons that have ranged from $30 all the way up to $200. My last one was a Chi Nano. I returned it to the store after only a week. I tried the Ozon at a friend’s house and immediately knew I had to have one. It went through my thick hair quickly without snagging once and left it smooth as silk! I am very happy with this iron.

i really like this because it works really well with my hair and other straightners i used before did not work. i have really curly hair :S. it’s always great to have sister or close friend to buy one to share. i bought this with my sister then she got a better one of her own soooo i get to keep this (: lovely.

I decided to purchase the Ozon Titanium Flat Iron as a back up to my Paul Mitchell. After 8 years of using the PM I figured it had to be on its way out soon. This Ozon is a great iron, as good as the PM but at a much better price. Would recommend this product.

i just open the box an i am totally appauled at the condition that it arrived. It was clearly a used product (a return) the the plates were loose the the little disk name tag was off the twist tie were not wrapped on the cord. the cord was marred.the cherry bomb oil was all over no seal under the loose cap.This is so upsetting!I have it heating up…ok it worked pretty good but not the best i ever used.the titannium slides though like butter and thats with out the cherry bomb.the jury is still out???? in till i hear there explaintion of this situation.

The website for this flat iron was very hard to find and I bought this product relying only on the reviews I read about it.It is UNBELIEVABLY FABULOUS. I have been checking on line for the best flat iron to buy. I tried my daughter’s Ozon — and I “loved it!” It strightened my hair and left it silky and shiny. I noticed that I did not get the crimped hair that I often get with my “cheapie” flat iron.

If you are from Canada, do not bother to order. I refused the order because of the huge fees. I still do not know where my money is……..

BEST STRAIGHTENER EVER!!! The chi is good, but it did break on me. I bought the ozon 2 years ago, and when i went on a trip to California, i lost it!!! apparently some of my luggage was lost or stolen. i was so upset!!!! my mom had to buy me a 5 dollar revlon flat iron… too bad i havent had money to buy one again….

best hair straightener ever! it works sooo well! the only problem is that it sometimes leaves your hair a little staticky… but if you use the cherry bomb product, its not a problem anymore. great price for such good quality. the titanium plates feel so smooth when they go through your hair, and the adjustable temperature is perfect if you have to share with someone who has a different hair type.

it used to take me and hour to straighten my hair, now it takes 15 mins, tops. also, this model is small and light weight, making it very easy to use. the round barrel is also really good for making big curls. this is the best iron i have ever used. it doesnt dry out your hair either, it leaves it silky soft and shiny. This is a good flat iron. It doesn’t cause any damages to my hair and it’s easy to use.

At first this straightner works well it got my hair somewhat straight. But then after a few months my hair started to have alot of split ends but i kept on using it. Now my hair breaks off easily.

This iron did the job for me. My hair is beautiful, because the cherry bomb protects against the heat if you use it right. i won’t be needing a new flat iron for a few years now! as long as it works as it has for the last 3 months, i am set. its better than buying a new conair every 5 months getting an ozon for $90 for 2 or 3 years, and its a way better product.

The cherry bomb it comes with a bottle is a small bottle but i only have used about 1/3 of it so far in 2 months, and i style my hair 3 to 4 times a week. If i am going straight, it stays straight for a couple days if i do it right. do small sections of hair at a time, YOU’LL LOVE THIS

I have had my ozon flat iron for about a month now and I absolutely love it. I have always used the very cheaply made and performance flat irons, which only burned my ends and my hair. Since I started using my ozon flat iron and cherry bomb my hair looks great, smooth and silky.. I also don’t have to get relaxers as often because the iron straightens my roots.. So after I read all of the great reviews, I was really intrigued but kind of skeptical. I’ve used Hot Tools, my mom’s fake CHI, and my sister’s real CHI; and I was pretty much set on getting myself a CHI. The one thing that really caught my attention with the Ozon is how people have said it doesn’t pull or catch their hair. Everything I have ever used has pulled my hair to some degree so I thought I would take a chance and buy the Ozon. Let me tell you that people are right… this thing do not pull my hair; it is amazing how smooth it is in use (and I have naturally curly hair that is quite frizzy). I am really happy with my purchase. I also love the variable heat settings, and I especially love how I can hang it to cool by the loop on the cord. This thing works great… give it a try.

I received my Ozon this week and it came brand new in the box with the Cherry Bomb…perfect. My hair is dry, porous and course,about shoulder length. Since it’s so dry I do not wash it every day so I tried my new flat iron after coloring and washing 2 days prior. I thought if it works well on my hair two days after a wash and blow dry then it should work even better on a fresh wash and dry…..It worked very well. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The irons securely grip yet hair to glide with ease through each pass. I love having the higer heat setting of 450 degrees because this allows me to easily straighten my hair with one pass. If this baby doesn’t short out (like so many flat irons do), it will have been the best iron I’ve used in years. If Ozon made the same iron in 2″ I would buy that one too. Well worth the money and that’s comparing it to higher end flat irons that cost twice the price.

This product didn’t disappoint! I used my friend’s CHI and decided to surf the web to find one at a good price. I came across the ratings for the Ozon and the price was less expensive than the cheapest CHI I could find. I have thick hair that does what it wants and this straightener is amazing! Disregard the complaints about the pricing of this product considering other straighteners in its class can be over $200. Well worth the money!

I absolutely love this product, Its great and it leaves my hair feeling wonderful and just the way I wanted it, I let my siste borrow it and she never gave it back, when i went to go and get it, she told me she left it at some ones else’s house, I was boiling on the inside. I had the chi at first and it was good but when I tried this one I never spoke chi again.

This is the fourth straightener that I’ve owned. I don’t remember the first brand but the ceramic gradually wore off the plate over a two year period to expose the aluminum underneath. The second one was a corioliss that I bought at a booth in the mall. It was $100 and was a decent straightener until it shorted out. Thankfully my warranty was still good on it so I took it back to the booth in the mall and upgraded to the corioliss Pro. I liked that this straightener got hotter than the last one although it only had one set heat. That heat was approx. 375 F. After 3-4 years of owning this straightener the stupid thing decided to jump off my dresser and break; it had floating plates which became detached. I tried to super glue it back together being the cheapskate that I am but the heat of the straightener just dried out the glue and it fell apart again…and I thought super glue could fix anything So I went online and decided to research straightening irons. I’ve always heard chi was a really good brand so I figured I’d just find out what Chi was best and buy that. Then I found this site and saw that the ozon was rated so highly and was intrigued by the idea of titanium plates that would be less flimsy and the fact that the iron would go up to 450 degrees something it seems most Chis dont do. I have very thick curly coarse and frizzy hair and after reading “Choosing a straightener” on this site I decided I wanted a straightener with these qualities so I ordered the ozon.

I would definitely recommend this iron …
Performance: 5 because it really does straighten well, leaves hair really silky, gets really hot. Used it on my friends hair and she said it works much better than hers (the recommended brand at Sally’s whatever that is) and that her hair actually seemed like it could be naturally straight it was so nice.
Quality: 4 Only because I just bought the straightener and don’t feel I can really judge this yet because there is always the possibility of it falling apart or shorting out. Also some of the white detailing painted on the straightener smeared off as soon as the straightener got hot. (I upgraded to the two year warranty for $15 when I bought it, hopefully I never have to use it)
Price: 5 For anyone who thinks the price of this straightener is anything below a five I say you’re cheap. My last straightener before this was $150 and it didn’t work nearly as well and didn’t have as good of features.
Overall rating: 5 Love the titanium plates and the adjustable temp because I style a lot of friends hair who may need other temps and I need 450

Heey, my hair is bad, like when it gets when it goes soo curly, do you think this is a good straightner to use for my hair to get it down qucik and really good?

I was under the impression chi was the best thing out there but after mine broke I was NOT gonna spend money on another one. My sister has had 4 in the past 2 years!!! Anyhow all the girls in my family have thick, curly, frizzy hair that is super dry on top of that & we gave up on finding a straightner that REALLY worked…until I went to get my hair done at this new place & the hairdresser introduced me to this straightner. My hair was the silkiest it has ever been. It stayed straight for days without me having to go over it. I ordered one right away it will be here in 2 days. I havent wore my hair down since I had to wash it this thing is so great I don’t think i will ever be able to use another one again!!! Definately a must have & compared to other straightners i’d pay $90 for it anyday!!!

This product is the best i’ve ever tried. I have owned two different chi’s and this does not compare. “No joke” I just got it today and might as well throw out the crappy chi i bought a few weeks ago, and was so unhappy with it i had to buy another flat iron. So for the people who said they didn’t like the price buy this one so you don’t have to buy another one like i did. i well worth the price. But beware that when ups came to the door i had to pay “again” for shipping.

I have bi racial hair! it is fuzzy and curly and coarse this is the best iron i have used ever my first high end iron and i love it! The cherry bomb is so cool too! i use it when i use hair dryers my hair feels healthy even when it is curly it heats up quickly and i have to thank all the people who wrote reviews before me because i used this site when i picked this iron out.

I just received my flat iron yesterday (10/6/2009) and couldn’t wait to use it! I read so many great reviews about this flat iron and had put off buying a new flat iron until I found one that I felt was worht spending the money on. I have good and bad things to say about it and I hope that others will find my review to be helpful.

MY HAIR TYPE…
To help people decide whether this review will be helpful to them I thought I would let you know my hair type. I have long (a little past my shoulder blades) fine hair, which I have to wash everyday or it will look oily. I generally don’t use conditioner (bad, I know) because I shower at night and it helps my hair stay looking clean for the next day. My ends don’t usually get dry until I start getting split ends from using the cheap iron that I purchased a few years ago.

THE BAD…

My iron seemed like it may have been a refurbished unit because there were scratches on it that I didn’t think would be there if it were brand new. The cord swivels to make it easier to use, but mine jiggles and it seems like it isn’t fully connected to the unit. Which could be related to what I have to say in “Using the iron…”.

Using the iron…
I turned my iron on last night and it was intermittently making a “bzzz” noise. I thought maybe it was just because it was heating up, but the noise never stopped the for the ten minutes I had it on. I also noticed that the red light never turned off. This morning when I woke up I straightened the kinks out of my hair that were a result of moving around a lot when I was sleeping. My iron made the noise again and the light still never turned off.

THE GOOD…

Customer Service…
I called Ozon when I got to work and the lady that I spoke to was extremely helpful. She is sending me a shipping label, so that I can send my iron back and they will send me a new one. She said that the iron should not be making a “bzzz” sound and that the red light should turn off after it reaches the temperature setting you have it on.

Shipment…
I ordered my flat iron 10/1/09 and received it on 10/6/09, which is great turn around time (that included a weekend).

Using the iron…
The iron works great! It only takes a few minutes (as opposed to fifteen) to straighten my hair. I highly recommend the iron as a whole if you are looking for a new one.

Cherry Bomb…
If I don’t use the Cherry Bomb then my hair gets very staticky. I have long hair and only have to use a little bit more than a dime sized amount in my hair to keep it from getting staticky when I straighten it. It doesn’t make my hair feel greasy at all. Like I said before I shower at night. So last night I showered, towel dried my hair, put a little more than a dime sized amount of cherry bomb in my hair, blow dried it, and then I straightened it. I woke up this morning and my hair wasn’t oily at all. Right now they send you a free 2 oz. bottle of Cherry Bomb when you order a flat iron and I heard such great reviews about it that I decided to go ahead and buy another bottle on top of that, which I feel is a good choice because then I won’t have to pay for to ship another bottle a few months down the road.

Ozon Styling Iron Cleaner…
I haven’t used it yet (for obvious reasons), but I do recommend using a styling iron cleaner if you are going to spend such a large of money on flat iron. When you use product in your hair and then straighten your hair it can build up on your iron over time. I have read articles that recommend cleaning your iron after every use, but if you don’t use a lot of product in your hair (for example if you only use Cherry Bomb) or none at all then you could probably just clean it once a week or less.

OVERALL…
Technology isn’t perfect and things can break, but overall this iron does work and they have provided fantastic customer service so far. Therefore I have no reason to speak poorly about the iron or the company as a whole. I wanted to share my experience so that people are aware that bad things can happen, but the flat iron really does work and the customer service is great! So, if you do have a problem with your iron you shouldn’t have any qualms about receiving poor customer service from Ozon. I plan on writing a follow-up review after I receive my new iron.

this flat iron is the best I have ever used,is good for all hair texture and it leave my hair super shiny and soft. It takes me a shorter amount of time to do my hair and it looks better than the salon.I really don’t know how I lived without it for so long.

Omg i absolutly love this straightener i thought it would be a really bad straightener but it seriuosly wasnt. get this straighter it is worth it. plus my hair is CURLY so it makes it pin straight! get it!!

The product was defective, but the bigger problem was with their return policy and lack of good customer service skills.
I understand that sometimes bad product slip through quality control inspections, but there is no excuse for lousy customer service.

Hey i read all of the reviews and saw NOT ONE BAD REVIEW! im so excited and i dont even have one yet ahahah. i want one so bad. i have had three CHI’s and yes they are my favorite but i they keep breaking and im not sure if im going back to CHI becuase of all the great reviews on this!!! well i hope im happy, i mean i know i will be but yeah. hehehe cant wait to buy!

It is a great iron. I have had better so it is hyped up pretty well on this page but yes it leaves your hair very soft and gets very hot and the plates are extremely smooth. It also is very great for curling your hair with. It’s good

this hair iron is okay, nothing spectacular compared to other hair straighteners that i have used.it doesn’t straighten well on lower settings, i have to set it at almost 400 degrees to get any bumps out of my hair after i blow dry it and my hair is pretty thin. this iron does not reduce damage to the hair, i have at least as many split ends now as i had when i used other irons.

I absolutely LOVE my OZONE straightener. I have super thick, long hair and it takes me practically no time to straighten my hair. I never have frizz even if I don’t use a heat styling product.

I LOVVVE MY OZONE its awesome cuzi have super think curly hair it takes hours to straighten my hair with a normal one but when i started doing my hair with the ozone one i toke like an hour cuz I HAVE SUCH CURLY HAIR haha the price is awesome and works awesome its the best straighter you’ll ever get!

Best pair of hair straighteners that i have had, they beat GHD. quick delievery and looks like i have been to hairdressers when used. would recommend to anyone that would need new straighteners.

I have used the CHI, and HAI flat irons in the past (one with blue plates) and Ozon by far has the best iron for the price, and not to mention the product itself.

The Ozon flat iron not only straightens like I’ve never had before, but it also curls beautifully. When you hold a CHI in one hand and an Ozon in the other hand, it is really hard to understand why CHI is so expensive, and why they are so overrated.

I researched for a long time before deciding to spend so much on a straightener. I found all these good reviews and decided to get the Ozon School Girl model. It works really well, doesn’t snag my hair at all. I have very long hair and this iron heats up really fast and retains its heat as you use it. The variable temp control is great and the iron itself is very well made – the body is metal and not flimsy plastic.

The company impressed me as well, at the time I placed my order online (I purchased directly from their website at http://www.ozonhair.com) there were no discount codes available. However, two days later they issued a sale that gave 30% off your purchase. I emailed the company and asked if there was any way I could still receive the discount – they replied the same day and said, Yes – we will be happy to send you a check for the $30. I received the refund check TWO DAYS later! I hadn’t even received the straightener in the mail yet!

The heat protectant that they give you with the iron is a different kind than the Cherry Bomb, but it works and smells great.

After I used it for one day, I’ve already gone back and ordered another one to give to my sister as a gift – she had a Chi before but it broke on a trip to London (the power adaptor she had wasn’t sufficient to save the Chi) and she’s not had the money to replace it. This Ozon straightener works better than her Chi did and I know she’ll love it.

I have been using a Chi flat iron for about the last 4 years until just recently sparks started flying out of the on/off switch after I plugged it in. I had been surviving on $20 walmart hair straighteners prior to purchasing my OZON. I could never go back! I love my OZON, it is so smooth and quick and curls fantastically. It now only takes me about 25 minutes to straighten my thin but super curly hair whereas before, it would take me 45 minutes. Can’t go wrong with OZON! After doing tons of research, I had decided that it would probably be the best quality for what I could pay for and I couldn’t have been more right. The customer service was great. It did take two weeks to get to me via the free shipping method, but that was to be expected.

I discovered this flat iron through a friend who swears by it. So I borrowed hers and absolutely LOVE IT!!! This iron is solid and smoothly flies through my thick hair like a hot knife through butter! The infraguard spray is fantastic and I’ve never seen my hair like this EVER. I ended up getting my own because my friend wanted hers back!

I have owned this iron for 3 years now, and it is just as good as when I first bought it. I am probably going to get a new one soon just due to the fact that it’s probably going to wear out soon and I don’t want to have a period of no flat iron! This iron gets hot and does my hair like no other iron has. Instead of leaving it flat and limp, it makes it smooth and shiny.

Glad I listened to advice on this site. This iron is so much better than my old sedu. the sedu snagged my hair, didn’t have floating plates and was way too expensive…I found out sedu is owned by folica by doing some research and no wonder folica has it listed as the best… stick with ozon, you will not be disappointed. price is so much better too.

it gets way down to my roots without burning my head. other irons i’ve used always burned the heck out of my head if i went too close. not only that, but when i go in a smooth motion, it doesn’t leave flat kinks, whihc is a technique i learned. i definitely recommend this straightener

My sister’s hairdresser did my hair when i was visiting her in orange county. When she used the iron, i was suprised it was not chi. She went on to tell me it was much better than chi, and how chi can’t stand up to the use of a salon. When i left, my hair looked like i was ready for a prom.. she did soft wavy curls and they were shiny and soft, but not damaged. soon as i got home I went online and bought it. Glad i didn’t waste money on a chi!

Oh my god i love this, i have the naughty girl and it is so pretty and it works so well. Plus it isnt plasticy and flimsy like the chi. I had the chi but hate it. I recently learned that the chi damages your hair so much. SO i feel bad for people who dont have this but have the chi

I’ve now owned my Ozon iron for 2 + years and it has given me many great hair days. Before it, I had a chi, but because it was flimsy, it broke after 2 months. I did research, and found ozon, and found it to be the best iron. Heats up fast, hot, very slick smooth motion thru hair.

I’ve owned the School Girl version of this for over a year. After having it so long, I don’t think I could do my routine without it. I even took it to Europe on my latest trip and used it without a transformer since it’s dual voltage. My hair is like a brillo pad without this product and the infraguard product I bought with it keeps it from being too harsh. I think it’s a perfect pair. I highly recommend you get any of the Ozon irons.
